  • Through the wonders of the internet I was connected with James at Rocketry Works. James was building his hobby shop specializing in model rocketry from the ground up and needed a graphic designer. This project was an interesting opportunity to expand my design abilities through the exploration of retro logos. James is a great communicator who was helpful in pinning down his definition and expectation of a retro design style.

  • James wanted a colourful and approachable retro-style logo. This was my first real foray into the world of retro logos, and I really enjoyed the opportunity to dive in.
Project Skills & Expertise

Using Adobe Illustrator for a retro logo was a real treat. Previously, I've done most of my illustrative logos in Photoshop but this time I wanted to focus on refining my process with vector design. The processes developed over the course of this project have contributed hugely to subsequent projects. Communicating design elements and concepts unfamiliar to me also contributed to huge growth.
